Oatmeal Ingredients
- 1/2 cup oats (old fashioned)
- 3/4 cups water
- 1 tablespoon chia seeds
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 pinch sea salt
Toppings
- 1 medium peach (diced)
- 1 dollop yogurt (of choice)
- 1 splash milk (of choice)
Instructions
Oatmeal
- In a medium microwave-safe bowl, combine oats, water, chia seeds, cinnamon and salt. Stir well.
- Put bowl in microwave and cook on high power for 2 minutes.
- Don't open microwave once oats are finished, but rather let the bowl sit in the microwave for an additional 2 minutes. This step is essential for cooking old fashioned oats in the microwave, as it lets them soak up the liquid.
- Remove oats from microwave and top with the diced peach, a dollop of your choice of yogurt and splash of milk. I used a honey cinnamon yogurt and a splash of oat milk to round out the creaminess!
