Founded in 2021, Simply Fresh Foodie is a cooking blog that aims to bring more healthy foods to your table.
While we all know the importance of eating healthfully, there’s often a barrier between this knowledge and the ways we actually eat. At times, it can be all too easy to lean on convenience and comfort, turning a blind eye to the benefits that healthy eating provides.
But what can you do about it?
At Simply Fresh Foodie, we believe that the best way to adopt more healthy habits is to make them easy. By developing recipes that are quick, require little prep, and rely on easy-to-get ingredients, we hope to take the struggle out of cooking nutritious meals.

While we want to make things as easy as possible, there are a few things that we don’t skimp on at Simply Fresh Foodie. Our values are near and dear to us, guiding every recipe we post and informing every review, recommendation, or tutorial we write.
Sustainability
Simply Fresh Foodie believes that healthy living also includes the health of the planet. The food choices we make daily are immediately related to the footprint we leave behind, and we hope to minimise that mark as best we can.
To do our part, Simply Fresh Foodie:
- Tests recipes in small batches so as not to create unnecessary food waste
- Ensures that the food we make while developing recipes gets eaten
- Centres our recipes around plant-based diets, offering vegan ingredient substitutions where possible
- When using animal products, always choosing the most sustainable option (biodynamic dairy, free-range eggs, locally-grown produce)
- Composts food scraps and waste from recipes
Plant-Based Living
At Simply Fresh Foodie, we consider plant-based to include any recipe that’s primarily focused on plants.
We know that eating more plants is just as good for people as it is for the planet, and so we constantly strive to find more ways to bring plants into our recipes.
All recipes on Simply Fresh Foodie are either vegan or vegetarian, making it easier than ever to find quick healthy foods to fit your dietary needs. Whether you’re already vegetarian or simply hoping to reduce how much meat you eat, these recipes will have you cooking up a storm in no time.
Wellness for Everyone
It’s no secret that the wellness industry has taken the concept of “healthy” and made a pretty penny of it.
The wellness industry has taken advantage of the increased interest in wellbeing, create endless (expensive) products promising to help you live your life to the fullest. But here at Simply Fresh Foodie, we know that great change really does come from the little things.
We aim to show you through our delicious recipes and helpful content the small and simple ways that you can live healthfully every day. By making our recipes easy and using readily-obtainable ingredients, we hope that we can make wellness accessible to everyone!
