Strawberry Lemonade Smoothie

If you're a fan of strawberry lemonade, this smoothie is for you. Sweet, sour and sooo refreshing!

Strawberry Lemonade Smoothie Ingredients

The best thing about this smoothie is that it only requires four simple ingredients:

  • Strawberries: I used frozen, but you can use fresh if you prefer. Just know that using fresh strawberries will make your smoothie a little creamier and less icy, but it'll still be good!
  • Soy milk: I use soy milk for a little extra protein (vegan life) but you can use any nut or dairy milk you prefer.
  • Lemon juice: I suggest using fresh lemon juice, squeezed from the fruit. The bottled stuff isn't as good and might add a strange flavour to your smoothie.
  • Maple syrup: I added a little bit of pure maple to this smoothie, as the frozen ones I had weren't too sweet. You can leave it out if you want, or swap with your sweetener of choice.

This smoothie is the perfect way to add some more fruit into your diet. With a good dose of strawberries, this smoothie is a great way to reap their health rewards.

  • High in fibre: According to Healthline, their fibre content is 26%.
  • Packed with vitamins and minerals - especially vitamin C and potassium.
  • Contain antioxidants known as polyphenols

What Kind of Blender Do I Need?

This smoothie has a decent amount of liquid, so most blenders and food processors should work well. Since it isn't too thick, even a non-high-power option should work just fine.

I used a NutriBullet, and my smoothie was blended quickly and smoothly.

Description

This smoothie is fresh, sweet and a little bit sour! The perfect summer refresher.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 Cup frozen strawberries
  • 1½ Cups soy milk (or plant milk of choice)
  • 2 Tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon maple

Instructions

  1. Add Ingredients Add all ingredients to blender.
  2. Blend Blend everything until smooth, pour into a glass, and enjoy!
